An estimated 20 million people in Georgia are unemployed, with more than a million jobless people out of work.
However, the state’s unemployment rate has been trending upward and many people are desperate to find a job.
As of September, Georgia had an unemployment rate of 5.8%, up from 4.9% in September 2016.
However, Georgia’s unemployment is likely to continue to rise, as the federal government continues to roll out the coronavirus vaccine and other public health measures.
The jobless rate in Georgia has been growing faster than the state as a whole since 2014, according to the US Census Bureau.
The US Bureau of Labor Statistics said the unemployment rate in November of 2018 was 5.7%, up 3.6 percentage points from the same month in 2017.
