The online passport process
New passport applications can take up to three months to process online.
That means there’s always the chance you won’t be able to apply online for a passport before the deadline, but it does mean the online process is much more secure than the paper application.
The process starts with a new passport application being sent to the relevant department for approval.
If approved, it will be processed through a central system which includes an electronic passport application, a paper passport application and a physical passport application.
These processes can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days depending on the department and the complexity of the application.
There are also a number of extra steps, such as an online review process and a second online review if you have a visa, to make sure the process is completed correctly.
A new passport with a date stamp that is valid for up to five years is then approved.
In many cases, the online passport will also include a travel insurance policy.
If you’re not able to travel, the application can be processed at your local Passport office.
If all goes well, you’ll be issued with your new passport within 10 days.
It’s important to note that you will need to visit the passport office to get a new one.
In most cases, passport applications will be sent to passport office at least 10 days before the end of the passport validity period.
The online process will allow you to submit your passport online within 30 minutes and receive it in the mail within a day or two.
For a passport with an expiration date, you can submit it at the passport offices office and receive your passport in the same day or so.

The Passports Australian office is open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm and Saturday from 7am to 6pm.
You should arrive at the office with your passport, and will be directed to an officer to complete your application.
