Australia’s first bank of its kind is set to open in the Gold Coast
The world’s largest bank has opened a branch in Queensland’s Gold Coast and plans to open branches in Perth and Melbourne.

“We have partnered with Safeway, and they will be using the existing infrastructure at their stores to offer a new e-wallet to Australians, which will be launched this year.”
Mr Turnbull said the store would be the first of its type in the world.
“I am delighted to be able to announce the opening of a Walmart branch in the state of Queensland.
It’s a real win for Queenslanders, for our country and for our people,” he said.”
Walmart is a major player in the Australian retail industry and has a long history of supporting local businesses.”
Walmart has been in Queensland since 2013.
The company operates 24 stores in Queensland, with two more in the pipeline.
